Mission – To encourage, support & endorse yachting activities; support educational programmes and training with particular emphasis on juniors and youth, for the long-term goal of participation in international, national and intersectional competitions; encourage all activities and events which promote Grenada as a destination for sailing and yacht racing events.

The Grenada Sailing Association was formed as the National Administrative Body and registered in June 1997. Currently the Association works towards these goals:
Encourage, support and endorse yachting activities among members of the Association Key areas: Junior Sailing; Dinghy Racing; Keelboat Racing; Work Boat Racing and Community Sailing; Regattas and Sailing Events
Provide guidance on rules governing sailing competitions and the conduct of sailing competitions among the members of the Association
Exercise advisory jurisdiction over activities carried out by the members of the Association
Foster and support educational programmes and training for amateur yachtsmen, with particular emphasis on juniors and youth, for the long-term goal of participation in international, national and intersectional competitions
Encourage and develop public interest in the participation of Grenadian sailors in all national, intersectional and international events
Support and encourage all activities and events which promote Grenada as a destination for sailing and racing events
General Information
The Grenada Sailing Association is governed by an Executive made up of President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary, elected annually by the membership.
Membership:
Membership of the Association is confirmed upon payment of Annual Fees. Members are eligible under the following categories:
Large Yacht/Sailing Clubs
Small Yacht/Sailing Clubs
Associations /Clubs
Regatta Organisers/Committees*
Individuals
*Please note that any Regatta Organising Committee wishing to promote its event as under the auspices of the GSA must be a fully paid up member of the Association, and should present its plans, with particular reference to Racing Rules and Safety on the water.
To enable the Association to fulfil the goals described, it will also actively seek funding and /or sponsorship from businesses and individual donors, other Sailing Associations/Organisations, as well as Government Departments.
